under cover of darkness.

Hat from my grandpa, vintage tank, and American Apparel Rib Nylon Spandex High-Waist Brief.

Hello followers! :) It is a lovely day here in the Bay Area! Last week it was so rainy and now it is starting to feel like Spring! I decided to take advantage of the weather today and lay around outside looking at the March Issue of Elle (which they sent to me so late) and work on my project.

The title for this post is from The Strokes new album "Angles." It's a bit different from their old stuff but I still really enjoy it. I haven't stopped listening to is since it came out.

Sorry about missing wednesday words yesterday, it slipped my mind for some reason.

I still have a lot of work to do that won't stop till Spring Break which is at the end of April. Fashion school is almost over which is sad for me. We will be putting our final project together on Saturday and then we will have Final Exhibition next week, and then I can finally show you my mini-collection I have been working on. Also, the Fashion Club at my school is having a fashion show next week and it's finally coming together. I'm really excited for it.

Well, I have to get back to my work. I hope you are having a great week. I have a busy weekend to look forward to. Until then.

Love, Jenae.

choose art.

Choose Art shirt from the Academy of Art, Talula floral leggings, and H&M platforms.

I wore this outfit awhile ago. I had a huge crush on that shirt ever since I saw it at Fashion's Night Out. I finally was able to get it at the last Final Exhibition. It's comfy and I love representing my school.

I hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did. :) More to share later. I'm probably in for a busy week.

I absolutely love water colours, and I have been working a lot with them lately on this project I have been working really hard on. I still have a lot to do for it and it will take awhile to make. I can't wait to eventually show it to you guys. Until then.

Happy Spring!

The new season is here! Even though the blustery weather outside may say otherwise. I can't wait till it's warm enough to wear my new spring clothes that I have been saving to wear.

I'm not sure if I've said this before, but if I didn't do fashion, I'd be into interior design. I love making anywhere I go feel like home, and I love decorating to the new season. So I have decorated different areas of my house with fake flowers. Even though they are fake I feel like they add a sense of dreaminess. My front yard has also been blooming with flowers in pretty colours too. Isn't it lovely?

More posts to come! My life has been great lately. I'm excited for two upcoming events this weekend; a wedding and my best friend's show. I'm also working on some projects that are fulfilling to me.

I hope you guys are having a good week so far.

Love, Jenae.

if i make it back, i'll still want more.

Merona shawl cardigan, H&M striped raglan, PacSun jeans and necklace, mum's penny loafers, and Simply Vera Wang bag.

Since magazines have been promoting all the new spring clothes it's so hard to dress for this rainy weather without craving the new season. I think I have been really interested in colour lately, whether it's primaries or wearing the same palette of a colour. I'm hoping to get a few primary coloured dresses into my wardrobe since I've realized I have a lot of florals. I'm thinking emerald green, red orange, and navy blue. I'm also so in love with the colour coral. It's so refreshing, like a grapefruit.

It's rainy here in the Bay Area, and I'm still going to have to be out and about! Oh well, I hope you all have a great weekend.

green finch and linnet bird.

Gap trench coat, Simply Vera by Vera Wang dress, socks, bag, and heels.

Remember that trench coat I talked about awhile ago? I got it. :) I've worn it a lot but haven't got pictures of it yet. It's wonderful; it's comfortable, flattering, and has kept me dry in the rainiest weather. Everyone should have one.

I'm pretty much decked out in Vera Wang in this outfit. Have I ever told you that she is one of my favourite designers?

I'm currently working on my mood board for my fashion design class. I should hop back on it. It has to be amazing. I'm also in for a pretty busy weekend. Till then.

wednesday words. #59

-Epictetus.

Hello my lovely readers! I've had a pretty hard week so I haven't got the chance to do everything I want to. I still haven't got the chance to sit down to look at the Paris collections! I do have some outfit posts saved that I think I'll start showing, it's been awhile.

I've still been busy planning for a fashion show, fashion school, regular school, college placement tests, evening events, catching up on sleep, and when I get the slightest bit of free time; read the few new books my mum got for me. And I'm still waiting on my magazines to come in the mail.

So I should be getting back to my work. Hope you are having a good week so far. I'm excited to wear green tomorrow.

lovely.

This picture was taken awhile ago by The Sartorialist. It still keeps haunting my mind, but I just love it so much.

Hope you are having a nice Tuesday.

Fall 2011: Part 3.

Acne
Love the dusty rose and navy combination. The different fabrics such as the leather, velvet, metallic, and chiffon is amazing. Simple but very well made and lux.

Alberta Ferritti
The review of her collection might have been a bit harsh but I still enjoyed these dresses. Very pretty and very Alberta. (Can I have the one on the right?)

Marc by Marc Jacobs
Usually I am afraid of the colour orange because those are my school colours but it looks lovely here. The colour seems so warm and comforting. I love the silky skirts and dresses. In love with the styling too. Love the menswear too. New tweeds and the suit is adorable.

Marc Jacobs
For awhile I didn't like polka dots but recently this past year I have come to like them again and I love the polka dot mixing here. I'm glad to know that my polka dot tights will still be in style. The silhouettes are good too.

Due to recent events this past week I haven't been on the computer much. So I haven't been able to look at the Paris shows but I'll get to it when I have time later this week because this week will be a bit rough also.

I've got some piled on school work, a fashion show to plan within a month (and we still don't even have much clothing!) and my collection to think about for my Fashion Design class. Plus some college placement days.

Well, back to writing my fatty paper. It's on and off weather in California and it's pretty cold right now. I would love to just live in my trench still this awkward winter/spring rains are over.

That's all for now. I hope you are having a nice evening.

Love, Jenae.
