these girls fall like dominoes.

Hello lovelies! Fashion school has been great so far! I feel like I've learned so much in so little time. I've made alot of new great friends (including Micaela from The Drifter and The Gypsy!) The teachers have been cool and I have alot of cool resources I now have access to through the school such as Women's Wear Daily and WGSN. So it will be cool to share with you guys from what I have found interesting from these sites.

So for now, I'll show you what I wore today.

Stringbean tan blazer from Goodwill, TNA light pink raglan from Aritzia, Talula floral leggings from Aritiza, and shoes from Steve Madden.

Bow ring from Basic, the rest are vintage, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch and selfmade necklace.

I think I'm going to do some of my homework now. FASHION HOMEWORK! :D The only homework I'll ever like.

Love, Jenae.

my favourite fashion bloggers. #1

I was recently asked who are the fashion bloggers that I follow. So I'll make a list here and tell you what I like about them.

Pascal Grob - Switzerland - 21 - http://www.fashionbitsandbobs.com/
He's super adorable and has an incredibly effortless, chic style. He constantly inspires me and I would love to meet him some day.

Annemiek -The Netherlands - 19 - http://www.mode-damour.blogspot.com/
What I love about her is that she dresses amazing everyday and it just looks like all her outfits are swept together.

 Taghrid - LA - 21 - http://www.taghrid.cc/
She is just so fresh and she's very good at mixing vintage pieces with American Apparel. I also love the fact that she is 5"3 so that is also inspiring to what I wear.

Janne - The Netherlands - 15 - http://affairdujanne.blogspot.com/
She has a love for Lady Gaga and knows what's up.

Neslihan & Mi-Ji  - Switzerland - 23 - http://styleseekingzurich.blogspot.com/
What I love about them is that they are big on jewelry considering I am a big jewelry lover myself. Everything on their blog makes me go "OoOoOohhh." I love their style.

She is an AMAZING DIYer which I love because I love making my own things too. She is also a really great fashion and jewelry designer. She makes her own things inspired straight off the runway. I wish I was that cool at 14.

 She doesn't reveal her name! :( - LA - 15 - http://thestylishwanderer.blogspot.com/
Okay, I wish I was her. I love everything she wears. She is also very good at mixing American Apparel with vintage and designer. She accessorizes amazingly and has been so inspiring to me.

Micaela - San Francisco - 16 - http://thedrifterandthegypsy.blogspot.com/
Last but not least. I love this girl. She is a local blogger who blogs about everything from photography to fashion to cutesy etsy stores. She has been extremely inspiring to me and I can't wait to meet her soon.

So these are the fashion bloggers I love. If you have any favourite bloggers please share them with me! I would love to know who inspires you.

Well, I need to start getting ready for my first day of fashion school tomorrow. Till then.

Love, Jenae.

the whole world looks like an open page.

Hello everyone! I have just come back from an exhausting day of visiting Academy of Art, figuring out my routes, getting my supplies, and shopping. Plenty of good sales of course! BOGO at Goodwill.

All my art supplies for my Fashion Illustration class. Look at that huge clipboard + pad I get to carry around! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!
But don't worry, it came with a bag. Which I am obviously going to take a silver sharpie to. Ugh, just look at that ugly thing sitting over there. (You know how I'm not keen on things that are plain.) I think I'm going to get a cute rabbit luggage tag for it like I saw at UO.
Clothing I got today. Left to right: Lucca Coutore cropped floral jacket from UO, Stringbean tan blazer from Goodwill, TNA light pink raglan from Aritzia, Talula floral leggings from Aritiza, and polka dot skirt from Goodwill.
Shoes from Goodwill.
Bags from Goodwill.

I noticed I got alot of tan, black, pink, and floral. Hahaha, it's just what I liked and I don't have any of these kinds of things in my closet. Great additions I must say!

Well, after visiting today, I'm really excited about all this now. Getting to meet new people, a fresh new start, learning new things, developing myself as a fashion lover, growing as a human being... You know I just realized that I never really had that experience of being the new kid at school. So this makes me even more excited. And this is all happening in the city! I'm so stoked on this new turn of things.

That's all for now.Thank you for all the support and I hope you guys are having a wonderful summer so far.

Love, Jenae.

Oh, here's my ID by the way. :D

I love that guy. I love everything he says. I would love to get a book of his stuff. I currently reading "forget me not" by Coleen Murtagh Paratore. I love what she writes and how she had a quote in front of each chapter.

Sorry for late wednesday words. My Photoshop wasn't working for a bit.

photo friday. #2 / update of my life.

Hello lovelies! It's summer! Which means I'll be a better fashion blogger. This summer I will be bringing more posts about my life in the city with my fashion school, my regular life because I'll be taking more pictures again, I'll be scanning more interesting things that I come across, and featuring more artists and photographers that I love.

ALSO, have you noticed something different? I have changed the layout. It's great because it's more friendly with my posts and it just looks more pleasing to the eye.

So, my birthday was this past Sunday. It was quite boring because everyone was busy and studying for finals. And the past years I've had school on my birthday (or last year a swim meet), so I woke up and I was like, "What do I do?" I was thought, "It's my birthday, I'm not gonna study." But after sitting around doing nothing, I gave up and studied for my finals. Which paid off mostly. So here are the things I got from my Mum.

1. Starbucks (Red) thermos. 2. 5 gum. 3. Starbucks card. 4. earrings. 5. Cool tripod for my camera that can be wrapped around things. 6. Tazo Chai tea. 7. Coyote mug made in Mexico. 8. Bigelow Mint Medley tea.

I wasn't really expecting anything more since I got my new phone so I was extremely grateful for these goodies! :)

But yeah, this upcoming week will be crazy because I have to do alot of shopping, shopping for fashion school (which starts on June 28th btw, not June 21!), parties to attend, and more. And I'll post it all!

Now to photo friday. After looking at some old photos I took in 2007 with my Kodak Z612, I decided I would begin taking photos with that camera again. So I took some pictures of my room with an optical and wide angle lens on it.

New stack of books I got today. :)
Nail polish I'm currently wearing, so pretty.
Not in my room, but current state of my postcard collection.

Thank you so much for reading! Any feedback at all would be nice. :) I'm so excited for what I will be posting in the future and I hope you are too. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Love, Jenae.

artist feature #1.

I've also decided to add a new section to my blog where I feature an artist that I have come across and have taken a liking to.

This one I have liked for maybe 2 years. His artwork is really cute, enchanting and also could be a little eery at times. And he goes my ghostpatrol.

Bio (via http://ghostpatrol.net/): Born In Hobart, Australia. Works and lives in Melbourne Australia. A self taught artist, Ghostpatrol has moved from the field of stencil art to exhibit his drawing based creations worldwide. He currently resides in Melbourne at his ‘Mitten Fortress’ studio. His work ranges form fine ink drawing, street-art, commissioned murals and soft sculpture.

Ghostpatrol creates worlds. His ongoing exploration of hybrid animals and forests travels across mediums; from pasted posters to soft sculpture, watercolours and printmaking. His work often references childhood nostalgia and pop culture, with often quite sinister and playful undertones. From beginnings in stencil and street art, his current practice focuses on ambitious installation and painting projects.

Here are some of his most recent wroks that have been upoloaded to his flickr (via http://www.flickr.com/photos/ghostpatrol/):
