paint me a picture.

Ever since I took Fashion Illustration, I've been really interested in it and have been drawing and painting more often. I just thought I'd share with you some I've done recently. I've still not that great but I'm working on it.

I hope you enjoyed these and I hope you're having a great Monday.

Oxford party, Garden party.

This is for my Fashion Styling "Clothes Off Your Back" project where you take what your wearing and find a way to wear it differently.
Left: Lucca Couture jacket, Xhilartion ruffled top, Hazel skirt, mum’s socks, vintage belt, vintage oxfords, and vintage bag. Right: Forever 21 bag and Ellen Tracy heels.

My original outfit was inspired by the British school girl kind of style. It was very girly with florals and ruffles; and proper with the socks, vintage oxfords, and Chanel cut jacket. I had my hair in a herringbone braid. The look also had a lot of accessories such as a gold watch, lots of rings, vintage belt, a two-tone and a compass necklace.

For the second outfit, I was inspired by ballerinas since the theme was so girly. I had got rid of the ruffled top and made the jacket into a top by wrapping the sleeves around my neck and clipping it in the back to make a halter style neck with a sweetheart shape. I wanted it to be simple and so I took away the belt, necklace and watch, and kept the rings. I also changed the shoes to nude peep toe heels and put my hair up into a bun on the top of my head. I switched out the bag to another smaller quilted bag which is inspired by the Chanel 1955 bag. I took the ruffled shirt and made it into a bow and tied it onto the chain of the bag.

The story is here a girl who had to attend a party at Oxford University and was invited to go to a fancy garden tea party afterwards.

leopord.

I have been searching for the perfect aviator style jacket for fall and I found the perfect one at Urban Oufitters. It was orginally $88 and I got it for $40. It feels great on and it's my new favourite jacket.

a heart made of stone.

Ring courtesy of Armadillo Bay. :)

Remember when I went to the Fashion Market with my good friend and owner of the boutique Armadillo Bay? I had saw this ring and I fell in love with it and so did Alberta and we happily ordered some rings for the store.

So, they finally shipped in the rings to the store and Alberta stopped by my place the other day and gave the ring as a gift to me. :) The ring is cut from a Geo which I completely love. (Sorry for the poor macro on my camera.)

More of these rings will be in the store in various sizes and mixed Geos and will be on sale for around $36. It's a lovely ring that I think can go with about everything. It's so unique and adds some glitter to your hand without being too overpowering.

I hope you are having a great week. :)

wednesday words. #39

-Oscar Wilde. (photo source.)

Who doesn't love Oscar Wilde?

This picture is so beautiful, I wish I could find the real source. I know there is credit in the bottom right corner but it's so small I can't read it. :(

Well, I hope you all are having a great Wednesday so far.

before you ask which way to go, remember where you've been.

A couple weeks ago, it finally rained a bit. So I decided to get some fresh air after it rained and go to the pond by my house and take some photos. I took my film camera along too.

SF Urban Outfitters.

Being in San Francisco so much this summer, I would visit Urban Outfitters all the time. So much, that I started recognizing the workers. I never had the chance to go around and take pictures. So when I went this past weekend with my best friend Molly, I brought my film and digital camera with me. I'll have to post the film photos after they get developed.

The new Urban Outfitters catalog is great by the way! I love the models! Especially the boy with the septum piercing, I think that is so cool. The photographer, Yelena Yemchuk, is incredible and the location was breathtaking. And the clothes were fresh of course. :)

I'm also really excited that they had bird skull necklaces in the store! I've been searching for something like that for awhile. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

I hope you enjoyed that and I hope you all are having a great day.
