wednesday words. #17

-Unknown.

I've noticed that alot of pictures I use are of the backs of girls. Does that bother you? I just find them so pretty and fit almost everything.

-  from The Great Gatsby.

Also, I finished The Great Gatsby. Best book I've read in school.

One more day till break. :)

thoughts. #3

Hi everyone. I'm sorry about getting lazy with posting. Life has been pretty crazy with the rush of cramming stuff in before break. It's also been interesting, stressful, and confusing. But that's life.

Spring Break is coming up and I look foward to:
1. Meeting up with old acquaintances.
2. Going to the beach.
3. Spending time with Kayla in 1999 Ford.
4. Top of the World.
5. Blogging. :)
6. Non-stress mostly.
7. The sun shining.
8. Being free.
9. Being all smiles.
10. Living life.

Let's live it up. Spring Break 2010, here I come.

Love, Jenae.

pink tux to the prom.

Hi everyone. Itunes and Youtube isn't working on my computer. :( So there is still no music monday but instead I'll show you how I asked my date to prom.

It went pretty well. It did take like a week to get an official "yes" from his parents but it's all good now. Oh, my date is Andre Buettner if you were wondering. The Justin Bieber look alike. About the asking: I had orginally planned to have all the polariods hanging from the balloon but it weighed it down so I only had one tied to it and the rest taped to his desk. The balloon above had a written "will you?" on it. I had made the shirt myself, I had gotten the idea from the American Apparel shirts. Which I found funny since I was asking Justin Bieber and in the song "One Time" it has lyrics that say Me + You in the beginning of the song. Anyway, I'm really excited.

That's all for now.

Love, Jenae.

p.s. please pray for me on my tests this week! :)

while the sun is still shining.

Vintage cardigan from my Dad, shirt from Ralph Lauren, vintage belt from my Mum, jean shorts from American Eagle, red suede heels from Franco Sarto.

Today was a very boring uneventful day. So, I decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood on my Mum's vintage bike. I always wanted to ride a bicycle while looking extremely glamorous chic in heels. And I haven't gotten the chance to wear my new red heels because of the bipolar weather so I decided to take advantage. I'll probably wear them to school sometime this next week since the weather will be nice, and I have to pray to God I won't trip.

The new issue of Teen vogue came in today and it's pretty good. My Mum and I went ewwww at the cover with Miley Cyrus' big clump of hair, and if you read the interview she sounds like a total brat. Anyways the fashion spread Swept Away is so gorgeous. It's almost reminds me of Aquamarine.

I love those brimmed hats. I need to find a good one that I can wear this summer.

That's all for now. I hope you all are having a lovely Saturday evening.

Love, Jenae.

- Nick, The Great Gatsby.

I read this yesterday and I fell in love with that quote. It's really a great book so far.

Hide & Seek.

Yay! An outfit post finally! I was inspired by the 80's today. So these are the denim leggings my Mum picked out for me the other day. I love them so much. They are so comfortable, flattering, and I'm also glad it's kind of at a high-waist.

Nollie Cardigan, The Sash (in hair) American Apparel, self-made Karl Who? shirt, Vintage Belt from Mum, Dyed Denim leggings from Nordstrom Rack, Rampage flats, and Marc By Marc Jacobs watch.

Everybody was asking me about my shirt today. I've blogged about it before when I first made the shirt but I'll tell you guys again. It's really kind of a nerdy/fashion blogger thing. I was inspired by Pascal Grob to make it. Karl is Karl Lagerfeld, the owner of Chanel and Fendi and he created his own line of shirts that just had a painted on Karl Who? As in the photos seen below. Karl Lagerfeld is the highly-fashionable man in the middle.

It's a blustery Tuesday! Have a lovely evening.

Love , Jenae.

ALSO! I am now the VP of the Fashion Club at school! Thank you all! I am so excited for what is in store and I won't let you down. :)

update: shoes.

Hi everyone. Due to stresses of life and cleaning rampages, I won't be able to post very much this week. But that won't stop me from music monday and wednesday words. I was going to do any outfit post but I'm too lazy. I wonder how all the other fashion bloggers do it. But I will show you what I got after shopping yesterday.

I needed shoes for prom that will go with my dress so I went to Nordstrom Rack. They had alot of great shoes this time that I drooled over. I ended up getting two pairs of Franco Sarto heels. I bought my first pair of Franco Sarto heels last year and I completely love him. His shoes always fit and look great on me, and he designs amazing shoes.

When I was talking to a girl at the boutique in Niles she had given me some words of wisdom about buying shoes for prom. She had said that you shouldn't blow your money on shoes that you'll only wear on that one night; instead buy shoes that'll you know you'll wear again and again.

The black ones are for prom. I've always wanted a pair of slingbacks. They're comfortable and perfect for my dress. The red ones are suede wedges. I had saw a pair of these that looked similar from Urban Outfitters that were $198. I loved them so much that I blew this month's allowance on them. Both of these shoes were $40 and were originally $90 for the red ones and $70 on the black ones.

I also got a pait of dyed denim leggings. My Mum showed them to me and thought they were really cool. She's a big fan of comfort. So she bough them for me. They were only $20. I love them alot and they are really flattering.

Well, I'm going to eat my late lunch and watch the rest of the movie I rented which is called Gigantic. It features Zooey Deschanel and Paul Dano. It's interesting so far.

So, have a lovely Sunday.

Love, Jenae.

music monday. #6

I Knew - Lightning Dust.

There was no music video for this song, but I found this live video which is so good.
So, I had a pretty good weekend, recovering from a cold. Spring Fever is going around so wash your hands!
Have a lovely Monday!

Love, Jenae.

Also, check out this interview with one of my best friends Jake Sigl. He's an amazing photographer and he is definitely going far! :)
