Niles Fleamarket.

Sorry for lack of posts. I've been busy lately.

So here are some photos from the Niles Flea market. The Niles Flea market in an even in my area at the end of every August. There are street vendors downtown and garage sales all around the local neighborhoods. It's my favourite event because this is where I find the best vintage stuff.



At the end of the day, I had gotten a stack of new postcards for my collection, the blue lace dress that is featured in my banner, a cool wooden container, a beautiful ring with an opal, a few necklaces and scarves, an Oscar De La Renta sweater for free, a floral dish for my rings, and an old film camera.

It was a good day of bargains.

Yesterday was the last day of summer, so I thought I would do a fall quote for the first day of fall. :)

If you've got visions of the past.

I've really been into my vintage collection of dresses lately. The weather has been bipolar. It was cold this past weekend and now it's jumping back up. I had gotten the dress for four dollars from my neighbor at the Niles Flea market. Isn't darling? I wore it with a necklace I had made myself with vintage belt and oxfords. I've also been inspired by Dior herringbone braids like he featured in his a/w 2010 collection.

These pictures are unedited. The effect is from my camera. (I think it's broken?)

Cardigan is from PacSun. Title inspired by lyrics from First Aid Kit in a song called, "Ghost Town."

Did you notice that I changed anything? I cleaned up the layout a bit and made some of these picture the new banner.

Last Days of Summer.

Lately, I have been heavily inspired by J. Crew catalogs. They have the best styling in the world. They put things together that I would never of dream of myself. They teach me to be more creative and adventurous with my outfits. Putting together unexpected things and making them look effortless and swept togther. You should pick up a catalong whenever you get the chance.

First Day of Senior Year!

What happened to my siblings that day? lol.

A trip to Berkeley.

So, I am back officially! I just finished catching up on all the editing. This was from back in August when I went to Berkeley with my friend Malissa. We mostly walked around a lot and shopped a bit. I ended up picking up this lovely polka dotted dress from Buffalo Exchange that I'll show later. Here are some pictures.

It was a good day. :)

Well, school is going alright. I still have to work some things out with my teachers. I signed up for fashion school on Saturdays in Fashion Styling and another class for online. I'm not sure about online but I'll try it.

I am also starting a volunteer job on Monday at a thrift store and the funds go towards the American Cancer Society. I'm really excited about this because this will be the first time I am getting retail experience!

Anybody watching the fashion shows? I have! There has been some amazing and inspiring clothing from the designers! I really much enjoy watching all the shows live stream. :) I'm thinking about posting some pictures from the shows I've watched and doing my own little review.

Also I went to Fashion's Night out in SF. Very different from I expected. I think my Journalism class in expecting an article from me about it so you'll read about it and see some pictures from that later.

Anyway, HELLO MY LOVELY PEOPLE! I finally have my computer back! It's all fixed and everything! I'm so sorry for being gone for so long. It made me sad that when each Wednesday passed that I wasn't able to post a new quote. :(

Well, I am back and I am in the process of uploading and editing all of my pictures from the missed weeks. So be expecting a lot of posts. :D I think I will also make a few changes to the blog. Maybe some layout changes and I definitely need a new banner. I'm tired of looking at it. I'm currently experimenting with old film cameras so maybe I'll have some good pictures of of that.

The quote above is about new beginnings. We are currently taking new steps, into this new school year, new people, a new season... the past few days I've had a kind of sour outlook but I think I feel better about it after today.
