And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore.

Usually, I have a love/hate relationship with Forever 21. Sometimes I'll be mad at them over something really hideous they've created, something overly trendy, and a piece of clothing with terrible quality and that is poorly made. Or, my favourite, a poor execution of a designer knock-off (ahem, Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch or Miu Miu shoes). I'm usually quite disgusted with them and refuse to shop there. And then there are sometimes where you find something great. Urban Outfitters had a blouse similar to this in early spring with the Peter Pan collar and sheer back and I really wanted it! But it was already gone and I never saw it again.  Luckily, I found it in a dress, with a more beautiful colour and pattern.

Cardigan from a friend, Heritage Forever 21 dress, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch, and Franco Sarto booties.

I also just adore Peter Pan collars. I also tried pulling off a of what I call, "the Carey Mulligan" with the eye makeup. Don't know her? You should! She is quite adorable!

I hope you all are having a great week! Can't wait for the weekend!

Love, Jenae.

Hello everyone! The quote above is about how it's not always the situation, it's your attitude about it. I've leanred that a bit this year. Try to think positive even though it may be hope, and give a smile to everyone you meet.

Anyway, so school is getting better. This Bay Area weather has been unbearably hot! So I've been wearing alot of dresses and skirts lately. There will be an outfit post tomorrow.

Fashion's Night Out 2010.

I've had these photos edited for a while. I was waiting to get the article I wrote on it for The Hatchet so I could link to it. But I'll just do that when it's up.

So basically, it was my first time at the Fashion's Night Out. I attended the party at Neiman Marcus. I should have been more dressed up but I know now for next year. It was cool looking at all the designer clothes and seeing all the dressed up people and models. I was also really happy to see my friend Harry Go and to pick up the new issue of 180 magazine which is outstanding by the way! I was very impressed with the new artist clothing line that they had for the Academy of Art. I definitely want one so I can rep my school proudly. :)

Next year, I will dress up more and do more party hopping. ;)

Hope you all are having a great week.

Niles Fleamarket.

Sorry for lack of posts. I've been busy lately.

So here are some photos from the Niles Flea market. The Niles Flea market in an even in my area at the end of every August. There are street vendors downtown and garage sales all around the local neighborhoods. It's my favourite event because this is where I find the best vintage stuff.

At the end of the day, I had gotten a stack of new postcards for my collection, the blue lace dress that is featured in my banner, a cool wooden container, a beautiful ring with an opal, a few necklaces and scarves, an Oscar De La Renta sweater for free, a floral dish for my rings, and an old film camera.

It was a good day of bargains.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday.

Love, Jenae.

Yesterday was the last day of summer, so I thought I would do a fall quote for the first day of fall. :)

If you've got visions of the past.

I've really been into my vintage collection of dresses lately. The weather has been bipolar. It was cold this past weekend and now it's jumping back up. I had gotten the dress for four dollars from my neighbor at the Niles Flea market. Isn't darling? I wore it with a necklace I had made myself with vintage belt and oxfords. I've also been inspired by Dior herringbone braids like he featured in his a/w 2010 collection.

These pictures are unedited. The effect is from my camera. (I think it's broken?)

Cardigan is from PacSun. Title inspired by lyrics from First Aid Kit in a song called, "Ghost Town."

Did you notice that I changed anything? I cleaned up the layout a bit and made some of these picture the new banner.

That's all for now, I hope you all are having a great week so far.

Last Days of Summer.

These pictures are about from a month ago when David, Andre, Justin and I decided to go swimming in the ponds behind my house. (These photos are not fisheye btw, it's just a weird telephoto lense.)

I need to figure out how I can get these pictures bigger.
Till then.
