Fall is here!

So here is a little project I've put together. Basically, I have been in the mindset of fall/winter clothing since July when I applied for Teen Vogue University thinking I would be gallivanting around New York looking fabulous and pretending I was in Gossip Girl. Even though I was accepted, I have decided not to go because after looking at the classes, it didn't seem worth it anymore, but Alex and I decided to put off our trip together till February.

Anyway, these are some pieces that I've been collecting from Berkeley and San Francisco. Either from Buffalo Exchange, Jeremy's, Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom Rack, or other vintage shops. I laid them out on our new hardwood floor, and put together outfits.

Hope you enjoyed this and helps give you ideas as well!

Connect the Dots.

Last year, I bought this vintage polka dot dress from the Niles Fleamarket and wanted to make it into something else. I loved the print but the shape of the dress was rather frumpy and did nothing for my petite frame. So I handed over to my boyfriend's sister, McKenna, to recreate it into something else. McKenna is quite talented being self taught in sewing and is always working on a new project. She sketched out many great ideas for me so it was hard for me to choose but I decided on a peplum skirt. It's a shape I've been wanting and I thought it'd look great in this print. So this is the result of it and I love it! It fits great and it feels good to know it's my own custom measurements! So I paired it with my Betsey's for a mixed print look. :)

Forever 21 sunglasses, American Eagle necklace, Target t-shirt, polka dot peplum skirt custom made for me by McKenna of think0utsid3th3b0x, vintage bag, and Betsey Johnson shoes.

Have a great week!

Instagram Sunday. #21

It's been a long, tiring week! I've started my first days at Kohl's besides the training so here are some of my outfits from this week. It's hard when it feels like I'm the only one who really cares to dress nicely. I try to keep as fashionable and colorful as possible even though all black usually looks good. It's also hard when I want to buy everything from the store because I see it all. I like it working here so far but I'm still learning and it can be lonely at times, but the dates I have with Parker, good friends, and good readings help me through the week.

Have a good week my readers! It's the last real week of summer, even though here in California it'll be warm for another month or so.

Let's Get Hitched!

On Saturday, Parker and I went to a beautiful wedding at the Sunol Water Temple in Niles. The wedding was for Annie and Eduardo, the parents of the two girls I babysit regularly for. The weather was perfect and the wedding was lots of fun! The restaurant that Annie owns, The Vine, was beautifully decorated for the reception with tons of good food, of course, and dancing!

Lovely isn't it? :) Also, many people have asked how I do my hair as shown above. I use this tutorial and I love it! It's not easy though. This took me an hour to do! The idea is simple, it just takes a long time. Enjoy!
