wednesday words. #11

- Oscar Wilde.

Hello everyone! Sorry this is so late! Life has been busy. I had a great weekend up in Tahoe. I made some memories, made some good friends, and I learned alot about myself and the people around me. The way I think has been changed and therefore I have been changed. I'm excited for what is ahead of me.

Hopefully I can get photos from that trip up soon. I didn't have my camera with me and I really regret it because it was the most beautiful place I've been to.

I also changed my banner. It is made up of photos from my trip to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk during Spring Break back in 2008. I miss that place so much. :(

So, yeah. I hope you all have a lovely evening. Expect another post tmrw.

Love, Jenae.

cross my heart.

Happy Valentine's Day! :)

Just remember that Valentine's Day isn't just meant to be shared with a lover. It can be shared my spending time with your friends, family, even you dog. So don't spend it mopping around.

Here are some quotes that are so beautiful, they don't need pictures.

Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love.
-Albert Einstein

When love is not madness, it is not love.
-Pedro Calderon de la Barca

Love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you're close in heart.
-Kay Knudsen

For you see, each day I love you more
Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.
-Rosemonde Gerard

I'm off for the weekend! I'll be back on Monday with a post of my trip and music monday of course. :)

RIP Alexander McQueen.

The news that Alexander McQueen has killed himself is particularly devastating because it always felt to me like he’d be the last man standing. He was restless, but so pragmatic with it I assumed he had what it took to endure the extreme situations he placed himself in. He was also an arch romantic with a pessimistic streak. It produced some of the most beautiful, shocking images in the history of fashion, but it’s a state of mind that can lead to endless disappointments. The death of McQueen’s mother last week would have validated his pessimism. It would undoubtedly have taken away his most vital support. It’s awful to imagine him trying—and failing—to cope, and one can only hope that, if he was looking for peace, he found it. For everyone left behind, there will eventually be consolation, however scant right now, in a body of work whose power will never die.

These are my favourite pieces from him from his Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 RTW. I would love my senior ball dress to be like the third one on the top. Alexander McQueen was a great designer who made beautiful fashions that inspired people all across the globe. The fashion world will truly miss him. :(

wednesday words. #10 / my 100th post!

- Jacques Benigne Bossuel.

This has to be my favourite one, by far.

Well, it's my 100th post and I honestly, don't have anything special.
But I just want to thank you for all the thoughts and the comments lately. It's nice to know that people actually read my blog. :) So if you could or if you have anything so say, leave a comment or click on the thought boxes.

My blog has been a mix of music, quotes, fashion, and my life. I like it that way. I wish I could have more posts about my outfits but I don't have the greatest camera or the time. But then again, that's no excuse. lol. So I hope to get more posts like that and more readers by promoting it more. I'm not really sure if I want to be a super big blogger, I would just like to inspire people.

Sorry that I didn't have anything special. I've been putting my creative flow into other things. So, my Valentine's Day post will be up either tomorrow or Friday.

Well, I should get back to work and start making Valentine cards. :)

Enjoy your Wednesday.

Love, Jenae.

P.S. My grades came in today! I got the grades that required me to stay at a 3.0 gpa. Junior year is hard and that's all my Mum wanted from me, is to try my best.

music monday. #4

Free Energy - Free Energy

I love this song. & the music video is great. Sorry I wasn't able to have a weekend post, it's been pretty crazy. I"m currently in the process of thinking of ideas for my next articles. I hope this next semester is alot better.

So my 100th post will be my wednesday words. I'll think of a way to make it extra special. Then this weekend I'll be off on a snow trip. So I'll have to be sure to make a special Valentine's Day photo spread that will hopefully inspire you. :)

Till then, Have a great Monday.

Love, Jenae.

Home - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

This has become one of my favourite songs. It's my indie daydream of what I want my summer to be like.

Happy February.
