Cause waiting on love ain't so easy to do.

Vintage coat, shirt, and belt. Bullhead jeans, Simply Vera by Vera Wangbag, and my mum's loafers.
I wore this a couple weeks ago when it was colder and it seems that the cold weather has come back to the Bay Area for awhile. I have been experimenting with colour schemes. The title for this post is inspired by an old Jack Johnson song called, "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing."
Life has been pretty busy. I just ended fashion school yesterday that went pretty well. I should have pictures from that this week. Yesterday, I also took a trip to Jeremy's in hopes of finding a prom dress. I didn't find anything but I did pick up a few items and it is probably one of my new favourite stores. I really like how it's a mix of discounted high end and regular nicer clothing for a cheaper price.
But my mum and I have pretty much searched across the Bay Area and have not found a dress to my liking in any of the stores. not even any I could try on or anything I could live with. I wanted to take a trip to one of the vintage stores but we didn't have time. So I resorted to ordering this dress online. It's nice and I think I'll have to really dress it up. It has the general idea of what I wanted and I really liked that I could make custom measurements to my petite frame and order it in in any colour I wanted. So now all I have to do is wait.
Now I have some pretty heavy work to get back to. I hope you guys had a great weekend. Still praying for Spring Break.
Love, Jenae.

Palmdale Estates.

I don't think there could of been a more beautiful reception than this place. My friend, the bride, Aparna has great taste and I have always admired her for it. Not only did she pick an amazing location, but she and her brides maids where dresses in J. Crew. As you can see, I didn't get that many great pictures unfortunately. I wanted to take more pictures but I didn't get the chance to. So, I think the wedding photographer's video will give you a better perception of what the wedding was like.
It might have been the only wedding I have ever been to but I'm sure it will be my favourite.

something old, something new.

Gap trench coat, vintage cardigan, vintage dress, vintage clutch, and Ellen Tracy heels.
This is what I wore last Friday to my friend's wedding. It was my first wedding that I was cordially been invited to myself. I have only been in weddings. It was absolutely lovely. I'll have another post for it later.
The bride said that we could wear black to the wedding but I still couldn't find it in my heart to do it. I think pastels are best in my opinion. Also, I tried doing my nail polish differently with having the ring finger color different. There had been a snippet on it in the newest InStyle from the nail artist for Chanel. I like how it turned out.
So, I finished my Fashion Design project yesterday. I had to finish drawing out all six of my looks. I was in panic mode for 4 and a half hours. It looks pretty good but I don't think it was exactly how I wanted it but that's okay. I'll have pictures of it next week. After class my teacher was kind enough to let me borrow the S/S 2011 Elle Collections. I have still been looking for it and it is beautiful! I am obsessed.
After class I got to hang out with my good friends Jazmine and Danielle. It was really nice to just have time with them since we haven't got to hang out this whole semester. We sipped iced teas in Union Square, spent some time in Juicy, and had red velvet cake. It was a nice night in San Francisco.
I hope you guys had a good weekend. This is is going to be busy for me once again. Until then.

under cover of darkness.

Hat from my grandpa, vintage tank, and American Apparel Rib Nylon Spandex High-Waist Brief.
Hello followers! :) It is a lovely day here in the Bay Area! Last week it was so rainy and now it is starting to feel like Spring! I decided to take advantage of the weather today and lay around outside looking at the March Issue of Elle (which they sent to me so late) and work on my project.
The title for this post is from The Strokes new album "Angles." It's a bit different from their old stuff but I still really enjoy it. I haven't stopped listening to is since it came out.
Sorry about missing wednesday words yesterday, it slipped my mind for some reason.
I still have a lot of work to do that won't stop till Spring Break which is at the end of April. Fashion school is almost over which is sad for me. We will be putting our final project together on Saturday and then we will have Final Exhibition next week, and then I can finally show you my mini-collection I have been working on. Also, the Fashion Club at my school is having a fashion show next week and it's finally coming together. I'm really excited for it.
Well, I have to get back to my work. I hope you are having a great week. I have a busy weekend to look forward to. Until then.

choose art.
Choose Art shirt from the Academy of Art, Talula floral leggings, and H&M platforms.
I wore this outfit awhile ago. I had a huge crush on that shirt ever since I saw it at Fashion's Night Out. I finally was able to get it at the last Final Exhibition. It's comfy and I love representing my school.
I hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did. :) More to share later. I'm probably in for a busy week.
Love, Jenae.

Happy Spring!
The new season is here! Even though the blustery weather outside may say otherwise. I can't wait till it's warm enough to wear my new spring clothes that I have been saving to wear.
I'm not sure if I've said this before, but if I didn't do fashion, I'd be into interior design. I love making anywhere I go feel like home, and I love decorating to the new season. So I have decorated different areas of my house with fake flowers. Even though they are fake I feel like they add a sense of dreaminess. My front yard has also been blooming with flowers in pretty colours too. Isn't it lovely?

More posts to come! My life has been great lately. I'm excited for two upcoming events this weekend; a wedding and my best friend's show. I'm also working on some projects that are fulfilling to me.
I hope you guys are having a good week so far.
Love, Jenae.
