les fleurs.

In Benicia, they had a State Capital building because Benicia was the original capital of California. On the side of the building was a beautiful garden with many flowers and brick pathways.

Camellia Tea Room.

Our first activity for that weekend was tea at the Camellia Tea Room. It was a really cute place with yummy tea. We sat around in our pretty dresses and ordered three pots of tea: Blue Lady, Royal Wedding, and Creme Brulee. I loved the tea strains, so cute! We shared finger sandwiches and I ordered a pear salad. The  the three of us shared a cheesecake for the birthday girl. We talked for hours and admired the boys that passed with their plastic containers of corsages, presuming it was prom night for the town while we plotted ideas of how to possibly crash their prom. A lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

It's a new week! I hope it's a great one.

Happy Easter everyone! I am now going to start to show you pictures from last weekend. Last weekend, I spent time with my two lovely friends Danielle and Angelic for Angelic's birthday. We stayed at this cute little hotel in Benicia, a small town by the water. It was so beautiful; the weather, scenery, everything. We had photo shoots till our hearts content, delicious food, played in the water, dressed up, told ghost stories, went shopping in vintage stores, visited historical sites. Best few days I had in a long time. More pictures to come!

Coldwater Creek cardigan, Kimchi Blue dress, and Deena & Ozzy oxfords.

What funny about this outfit is that my Mum had picked out the dress and the cardigan for me. She can pick out some cute stuff. :)

Dior et Juicy.

Hello everyone! I am finally on Spring break and I'm super happy about it. I finally get to see my friends that I  haven't seen in awhile and met up with some I've been meaning to meet! It's going to be pretty exciting.

I am still in the process of editing pictures from weekends before so I'm hoping to get in some good posts this week. Also thank you so much for everyone who gave me positive feedback on my book. It's really the best thing I've ever done and I'm so happy to hear that it's been inspiring other people and making them feel something too.

So in this post I just wanted to go all "jak&jil" for a moment and show you my friend's mother's purse and ring. The purse is a lambskin quilted Dior bag. It's really quite amazing. Also, she had a ring from the Erin Fetherson for Juicy Couture collaboration. It's like armor, isn't it great?

Well, more to come this week! I hope you have a nice Saturday! :)

The Book of Me & You.

I wanted to ask my best friend Josh to my Senior Ball. I wanted it to be special and creative, so I got the idea to make a storybook of our friendship. This project took about three weeks to make by first writing the story, creating the storyboard, drawing and painting on the pages, and having it all fit together.

This is probably the most creative piece I have ever done in my whole life. I hope you enjoy it.

Le sandwich.

Sandwich from Soup Freaks.

Good evening everyone! I have just came back from probably the most amazing weekend I have had in a long time. You'll see pictures from it later this week! If I have time tomorrow I'll put the a post up of my collection process.

I now have to put the finishing touches on my senior term paper and do some cleaning up too! Until then.

Last Day of Fashion School.

My last Final Exhibition for pre-college classes! How sad. I think Academy of Art has really helped me take a step forward in my future career in the fashion industry. I have had amazing teachers who have taught me so much and I have made a lot of really special friends that I will keep for the rest of my life!

So last Saturday, I showed off my mini-collection I made for my Fashion Design class. We had to create a concept then make a six piece collection off that idea. We had a mood board that expresses our concept and has our colour story along with fabric swatches, sketch books for inspiration and other ideas, and our six piece collection all lined up. A lot of people in my class had really great ideas. Sorry that I didn't get pictures of everyones! :/

Mood board from Jazmine. Really lovely.
Mood board from Xenia.
Mood board and collection from Veronica. The only girl who did a menswear collection. Amazing right?

My amazing teacher Siofra, me, Danielle, and Jazmine.

I was going to put my collection into this post but I realized as I was typing that I should to have a separate post showing my whole process. Sorry, you'll have to wait a bit longer.

I hope you are having a great weekend! I am currently off to a weekend by the beach with some friends! It's so nice to finally have a break!

You demand to be chased for your love.

Hurley parka, Oscar De La Renta sweater, Z. Co jeans, vintage bag, belt, and oxfords.

I wore this a couple weeks ago when it was colder. I know the weather is a bit chilly but I still feel uncomfortable wearing winter clothes in spring. I love parkas and how versatile they can be. Hmmm, back to work. I'm almost done. Ready for the weekend, yes?

All I have to say is that the weekend needs to hurry up.

Cause waiting on love ain't so easy to do.

Vintage coat, shirt, and belt. Bullhead jeans, Simply Vera by Vera Wangbag, and my mum's loafers.

I wore this a couple weeks ago when it was colder and it seems that the cold weather has come back to the Bay Area for awhile. I have been experimenting with colour schemes. The title for this post is inspired by an old Jack Johnson song called, "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing."

Life has been pretty busy. I just ended fashion school yesterday that went pretty well. I should have pictures from that this week. Yesterday, I also took a trip to Jeremy's in hopes of finding a prom dress. I didn't find anything but I did pick up a few items and it is probably one of my new favourite stores. I really like how it's a mix of discounted high end and regular nicer clothing for a cheaper price.

But my mum and I have pretty much searched across the Bay Area and have not found a dress to my liking in any of the stores. not even any I could try on or anything I could live with. I wanted to take a trip to one of the vintage stores but we didn't have time. So I resorted to ordering this dress online. It's nice and I think I'll have to really dress it up. It has the general idea of what I wanted and I really liked that I could make custom measurements to my petite frame and order it in in any colour I wanted. So now all I have to do is wait.

Now I have some pretty heavy work to get back to. I hope you guys had a great weekend. Still praying for Spring Break.

Palmdale Estates.

I don't think there could of been a more beautiful reception than this place. My friend, the bride, Aparna has great taste and I have always admired her for it.  Not only did she pick an amazing location, but she and her brides maids where dresses in J. Crew. As you can see, I didn't get that many great pictures unfortunately. I wanted to take more pictures but I didn't get the chance to. So, I think the wedding photographer's video will give you a better perception of what the wedding was like.

It might have been the only wedding I have ever been to but I'm sure it will be my favourite.
